Come one, come all!
We're not sure if you knew this or not but we presented a bill before Congress to make Misty Pines Customer Appreciation Day a national holiday so that you all could have the day off and come celebrate with us, but they said they only add one holiday per year and they were already considering Dice's Birthday. Who am I to argue with that? So, for those of you who will have the day off of work, please come and join us for a great day of fun with your dogs as we celebrate You. You, the customers of Misty Pines who make our jobs a joy to come to every day.

Misty Pines Dog Park Company has been successfully training dogs and their owners since 1975. Our continuing lifetime training programs are designed to enrich the relationship between you and your dog. We offer Group Dog Training Classes, Private Dog Training Lessons, Dog Behavior Consultations, Dog Boot Camp and Dog Daycare Training.
With our solid understanding of canine behavior, the trainers at Misty Pines can help you to correctly interpret your dog's behaviors. We will teach you how you can reinforce the good behaviors and eliminate the unwanted behaviors. The professional Misty Pines training team suggests positive techniques and innovative solutions for your dog's training. Our trainers are either certified or studying with the Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers.

Misty Pines offers a variety of classes, programs, activities and services to enrich you, your family, and your dogs lives. Our training programs are informative and educational as well as entertaining for your whole family. Group classes are engaging for both you and your dog, and you will learn how to take your dog through real-life challenges with flying colors. Private lessons give you the chance to focus specifically on your dog’s obedience and your handling skills.
Our classes are designed to be user friendly. We offer many classes on an ongoing schedule throughout the year. This means that each level of class runs every week, same time, same station, fifty-two weeks out of the year. After an initial orientation, owners and dogs come weekly or as often as they can, paying as they go for each class. The Dog Park Grounds are included in the class price on the days that you attend class. As the owners and dogs learn and succeed, they move to a more challenging class level. This flexible schedule provides training for the different stages throughout their pet's life.
We offer canine behavior solving consultations, obedience, agility, gun dog, and all aspects of our training through private lessons at our Training Center. Private sessions are scheduled by appointment. We will provide you with the tools and skills to bring your dog through those real-life challenges with flying colors. We also offer a boarding and training program referred to as In-School Training.
Misty Pines Training Center offers many various classes, programs and instructions for owners and their dogs to reach specific goals. The Center offers Clicker Training, Tracking, Sporting and Gun Dog Workshops, training and testing for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapy Dog International (TDI) certification. Upcoming programs and events are posted in our Training Center and website. We proudly sponsor our DAF (dogs adopted for friendship) program, a wonderful dog adoption service, networking with our Pittsburgh Area Animal Shelters. Vaccination Requirements for Dog Boarding and Dog Daycare: All dogs at Misty Pines Dog Park Company must be current on Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella (Bordetella every 6 months) vaccinations. All dogs must have received inoculations at least 14 days prior to their visit to Misty Pines. The waiting period will allow your dog to build optimal immunity to the vaccinations which will make your dog less susceptible to catching or transferring any unwanted viruses. This includes new and updated vaccinations. Your pet cannot be over due for vaccinations - NO EXCEPTIONS. For example, if your pet is scheduled to visit Misty Pines on May 14 and received vaccinations on May 9, we cannot accept your pet due to the insufficient 14 day waiting period. Please fax records to the Misty Pines office at (412) 367-PETS (7387). Administration of the bordetella intranasal vaccination is available at Misty Pines for $15. Please call to schedule an appointment.
The waiting periods vary due to the length of duration and points of contact at the facility.
